For those who've attended Sakura Con (in Seattle) AND had an artist alley table there.
How was it for you's?

Compared to other cons, and just in general?
Comparing to ECCC (I know it's a comic con while this is an Anime con)
but in general.

I jst wanna know as I'm considering doing that show w/ me buddy :iconfooray:
  • Listening to: the Toys - Lover’s Concerto
  • Reading: One Piece
  • Watching: Zenkai Girl
  • Playing: PS settings
  • Drinking: Water with Ice

Good luck on getting a table. Once they become available online for registration, they are taken within seconds (13 seconds was the record last year). Last year they finally had a bigger section, but it was way up on the 3rd floor away from everything. I managed to get a chance to share a table so I was thankful for that. Crowd sizes for the AA are good, though. Lots of people were there. Unfortunately, the recycled con air messed up my sinuses and throat and I came down with laryngitis for 3 days after the con.

I'm seconding *Katie-W , please please don't waste your time or money on Sakuracons AA. The dealers hall now has a small press section that is MUCH MORE suitable to what you guys do! Although Sakura has a bad habit about contact, I have no doubt you could possibly get yourself a guest-status and get a booth for free due to your background and industry work.

Again, AA is bad. Dealers is good! (And about the same price LOL) We're gonna be there next year, hope you go!

Also, go here for info! Contact them ASAP considering how long it takes to get a response --> [link]

Trust me, no stress, less hassle, better sales. After doing the AA for Sakuracon for what...6 years now? I can say that it's ridiculous and not worth it anymore. It's 3000 people trying to get one of only 50 tables, the application online for AA tables runs out in 30 seconds.

Small press all the way man.

oooooo

Small press is sounding solid!
and a decent price too.

I'll have a word w/ :iconfooray: and we'll see what's up.
But otherwise if we do that con, I'll stay an extra week in Seattle to attend that show.
