Hey no problem. I am glad that you are concerns with other issues and hopefully will have reflections on you great art.

A friend of mine in the Netherlands also share this insight.

"KONY 2012 is the product of a group called Invisible Children, a controversial activist group and not-for-profit. They’ve released 11 films, most with an accompanying bracelet colour (KONY 2012 is fittingly red), all of which focus on Joseph Kony. Invisible Children has been condemned time and time again. As a registered not-for-profit, its finances are public. Last year, the organization spent $8,676,614. The group is in favour of direct military intervention, and their money funds the Ugandan government’s army and various other military forces.

Yes, the Lord Resistance Army has been directly involved in the UK colonization of Uganda, and Joseph Kony is a monster. But the 'KONY 2012' stuff is mostly propaganda to win over public support for another imperialist military intervention in Uganda. Obama has already sent 100 troops into Uganda, allegedly to fight Kony’s forces. But it’s really just part of the big U.S. military expansion into Africa via AFRICOM. Hands off Africa!"

We just have to be vigilant and look at things all-sidedly - modest and humble. BUT, we have to draw too! Politics is another universe...

haha indeed.
our own art, unlike politics is something we can control (for the most part at least)

I was touched and moved by the video. I am at work, and so far only have gotten half way through. I'm finishing it later. I already shared it on Facebook.

I've known about Kony for years(and I'm sure others have too). He's even on wikipedia. I guess now everyone is caring lol.

I believe he will be stopped soon. This campaign is growing FAST.

So many fronts to battle, so little resources and time. But this method of awareness surely proves more and more effective.

While this is all well and good I need everyone to do me a favor. Please research this topic, if you search KONY 2012 SCAM in google you'll see all kinds article that questions the legitamacy of this video, especially the fact that the video gives no citation or quotes or actual numbers. Apparently most of this footage was shoot back in the early 2000's, almost 10 years ago. Things have changed in Uganda since then. I just want everyone to actually look at this stuff and do some research of your own before you actually jump on the band-wagon. The video seems to have it's heart in the right place but at the same time there seems to be something off about the whole thing. Be cautious, that's all I'm saying....
