options and rawscan by theCHAMBA options and rawscan by theCHAMBA
So #10 cover for Street Fighter II Turbo (just finished penciling the issue, will start colouring either tomorrow or the day after that)

so yeah, the three options up top, w/ the rawscan (levelled) on the bottom.

so yeah, option 3 was chosen, which I altered to make fit onto the page better.

that's all.

Option two would have been pretty sweet, too. If you get the chance, I think you should explore that composition as well.

so what made you decide to change the placement of Sagat? Did you not want it obscured by the logo? For some reason that thumbnail makes me think of Spidey and Venom

That's fun to see earlier concept work. The final drawing turned out really well, but I have to say I think I like the top middle option the best.

I like option 2, mostly because I think the inverted colour on the eyepatch would have looked totally swank.

#10? Who's the publisher? I don't follow the comic series for Street Fighter. I only usually follow Batman and manga, as well as most of the other comics. It's pretty cool that you're getting published. You're livin' the DREAM, man! I'd be so giddy if that were happening to me, I don't know what I'd do.

only time i'll use photo reference is when i have to do likenesses (which is rarely as it is anyway)

props to that. says a lot, you must have a really good understand of anatomy / a lot of experience rendering the figure in dynamic poses.

in my opinion, you did well to choose the 3rd.
the other 2 are too much clichet. And this is way more dynamic! ;)

well, in that case, I don't think theres really anything wrong with doing it again. Its a very iconic depiction of the two characters. Its kinda like the young Bruce Wayne kneeling next to the corpses of his parents. Its always done basically the same way, but its still cool to see the subtle differences
