fabric markers by theCHAMBA fabric markers by theCHAMBA
Purchased some fabric markers, as I planned on drawing on my shoes during SDCC.
Figured I'd get a blank shirt too, as I could probably draw on that too.

So yeah, here's a shoddy snap-shot of a Men's Medium shirt with Ryu drawn on it as a trial/example.

If anybody is interested in this (taking bids for the next few days on this via DA notes OR will just sell at the booth during the show, whichever really) or a possible shirt commission, let me know via DA notes and we could probably work something out.

However I must say, it's way easier to draw on shoes than on shirts. The markers really go against the surface of the shirt fabric (such a pain sometimes). But hey it's fun.

For those going to SDCC,
SEE YOU THERE!!

I think this is a really great job, I've read that it's actually a lot more difficult attempting to draw on material. Also recently I've been wondering if it was possible to buy pens that draw on clothes as i had some ideas of my own. So... I'm interested in the name and type of fabric markers you used if they were a specific type, please :)

Man that is badass. This needs to be an official shirt, I would snap that up. How did you do it, pencils first or went straight in with markers?

I airbrush on tee-shirts and to help stop the bunching, not that there is a huge problem with airbrush, I put it on a piece of particle board sized to the shirt. I have 12 different sized boards from 12 month to 3x. With markers it still might be tricky but heres a suggestion...If you go to a comic con or something draw up 2 or 3 of these shirts and throw some cut cardboard in for display then sell em like that people think thier getting a piece of artwork. Not that your stuff isn't cuz...it is always awesome. But when Im painting spongebob for the 97th time that day it gets old. Either way awesome job!

Looks Good!! A Gorilla Board is a giant clip board that will work good for what you're doing. I think I am going to try my hand at this also, thank you fo the inspiration. By the way, how much are you charging for a piece like that?

I want this t-shirt. Great job!

I know how tricky it is to draw on fabric - you can't lay your design down in rough first, the fabric moves around with the pen when you want it to stay still, and you cannot rub out any mistakes, so there's very little room for error.

Was this done in one take?

(Same here lol)

Its even harder with permanent marker. :o

The marker tends to bleed and you have to be careful otherwise your line bleed together, and with it being permanent. Once its on there. lol

I did a shirt too although its a little
more complex. Black and white too. :P

I'm working on another at the moment. You're
very right about trying to draw against the fabric.

Bu its well worth it. :D
I'd like to see more of these from you.
