early steps in RandomVeus

Description

WIDE IMAGE

anyway here's some of the early steps that took place to create the RandomVeus piece.

1st pic: the A4 size-paper RAWSCAN. As you can see i left space both on the top and bottom of the actual piece. For many of those who've asked if I draw the characters on Seperate pieces of paper and put it together in Photoshop, the answer is No. They're all drawn on the single sheet.

2nd pic: the Colour Holds, so to speak. These are a set colour i use that're on a layer setting of linear burn above the colour layers.

3rd pic: Outlines and Extras. this is a slightly tedious but important part to how i go about. I outline around characters and add blacklines on specific areas such as mouths and eyes.

4th pic: Colour flats and Extras. the most boring and time-eating thing to do. But i guess with good base colours, the end result willonly be that much solid looking.

and yeh.. that's it for the early stages.. i won't go and show the highlighting and the backgrounds etc.. I've already done this whole process-showing thing w/ one of the Sinbad pages a month or two back. but yeh.. figured i'd show this.

You did the Lineart on Photoshop or did you just adjust the levels?
