So here's a walk-through of a piece.
I know some of you'se have asked for a new tutorial, and this is the closest thing you'll get for now.

All up, the time it took from start to finish was roughly 3 - 3 1/2 hours including 10 minute breaks.

Step 3 onward was done in Photoshop 7, everything.

Jeffery "Chamba" Cruz... Damn this is good... I have a question, when you make the inner lines gray, do you use the lasso or polylasso to chose the innerlines, then level them? or color them gray with the transparent pixels locked? Or do you just brush over it using gray with the transparent pixels locked?
Or do you not even turn the lines transparent? How do you get the colors to appear under the white in the image? I just use the channels white select then delete them... How do you do it?

lock transparent pixels, and brush!
I can't really recall the method used here (it's been years)
but yeah I do recall the transparent pixel locking.

It is so cool to see how at certain steps I'd go mad with the colouring and lighting effect, while you keep the characters minimal shaded and stuff... I always tend to go too far with coloring.

Hello! Your tutorials are great! And I freaking love your shadings! But I have a question! When you said 'tint', what did you add to the picture? The lines seemed to become darker compare to the one in base color. Does it happens automatically when you colored, or you edited the lines specifically as well?

Your walkthroughs are some of the best and most helpful I've seen.
