The eyes of the monster are ASTONISHING! You've got the magic Chamba! ...REALLY, I've always wanted to ask you about yer line cleaning technique, 'cause I've NEVER felt comfortable with digital lines, so do'em traditional thing is up'til now I haven't found the adequate technique to clean them up and I end investing too much time doing so, that by the time I'm done inspiration and all intention of art-ING is long gone!
Hey thanks! The eyes are supposed to basically capture the look of the Aurora Borealis, so that's why they look the way they do.
As for line cleanup, yeah it's such a bother when working traditional. because it's about getting the lines solid/dark enough to pick up in the scan and having a clean enough scan so that clean doesn't take too long. Such an annoying thing that.
That's why these days unless requested, I tend to do up commissions entirely digital, JUST to avoid line cleanup. Sure, it would take such a smaller amount of time to draw it traditionally, but depending on how clean the scan is, could take up a bit just to clean it up.
