Thought I'd comment on this because it's the lines. The image is really great but I have a crit for yah.
You see that pole that's above Mario's head? It's creating a tangent from the seam to the pole which drags attention to it. It can also be mistaken for an antenna coming from his head.
It's one of those things where you think it doesn't matter but once you change it you'll feel a positive difference.
