So usually i come up w/ 2 - 3 layout options. Done directly into PS, as it tends to go quicker. They went with Option 1.
Once layout was decided upon, I then drew it up on the UDON comic paper provided by UDON. Did a basic rawscan usually @ 150%/300DPI (no pre-colour levelling etc, jst basic scan) to get see if any edits etc would be needed.
Once it was approved I then coloured it up in Photoshop7 using an Intuos2. This too needs to be approved before I upload it to the FTP.
and that's it.
I might go into it further, but the PSD colour reference file i uploaded pretty much cover how I go about it colour-wise.

It's interesting to know that even the roughs have to go through a QA process. When we work with clients on the web, it's a similar deal (wireframes/layout first, etc.)
